Inter-Con provides customized security solutions with the right officer in the right place at the right time. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be part of a highly trained security team supporting critical facilities, infrastructure, and public venues requiring an enhanced presence and protective services. This position is integral to Inter-Con’s range of security services. Specific Benefits

Duties
Observe and report suspicious activity to Port Authority Police. Protect assigned areas and enforce rules per Airport Security Agent Manual and Manager Bulletins. Familiarize with post orders; maintain an efficient post and assist the public where possible. Ensure compliance with Port Authority and federal rules for identification of personnel and vehicles (AOA/SIDA). Conduct vehicle inspections as required; direct traffic; provide construction escorts as needed. Inspect contractor work areas for security compliance; report unclaimed or unattended property to PAPD. Prepare and file reports on unusual circumstances; respond to emergencies as directed. Log activity, monitor secured/restricted areas, and use monitoring systems (EGTMS). In vehicle fires, assist PAPD and use extinguishing equipment until emergency services arrive. Report 30 minutes prior to tour for roll call and travel to post; maintain post throughout scheduled hours; wear uniform on duty. Requirements and Qualifications
Relief personnel are required for this position. Adhere to Port Authority uniform and appearance guidelines; medical considerations permitting. Do not use personal cell/wireless devices on post unless approved by Manager. Comply with all SOW requirements for Tours of Duty. New Jersey postings: certified as guards by New Jersey State. New York postings: FDNY-certified fire watch as required by Manager. Veterans
