About The Position
We are seeking an Anesthesiologist for a 250-day locum tenens assignment in Missouri. This opportunity begins on Nov 1, 2025, featuring day shifts from Monday to Friday, within standard VA business hours. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive anesthetic care across various surgical specialties and settings, adhering to the highest standards of the profession.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Direct perioperative anesthetic care to patients, including oversight of CRNAs and Anesthesia Residents.
- Conduct independent work and preoperative assessments.
- Administer and monitor intraoperative anesthesia.
- Provide general and regional anesthesia for surgeries including general, vascular, orthopedic, thoracic, urology, ophthalmology, and ENT.
- Offer anesthetic care in additional settings such as GI/endo suites, Interventional Radiology, ICU, and Cardiac Cath labs.
- Manage post-anesthesia care, admissions, discharges, and electronic documentation.
- Ensure compliance with AAA and JC regulations and standards.
- Participate in the development and implementation of program planning, objectives, policies, and standards.
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Anesthesiology required.
- Must be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be up to date.
