About The Position
We are seeking a licensed Anesthesiologist for a 55-day locum tenens assignment at multiple facilities in Florida. Starting 06/15/2025, this role requires expertise in a wide range of anesthesia cases across all specialties except trauma, transplant, and pediatrics. The physician will work Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm, with no required call or weekend coverage (though these opportunities are available if desired). Key responsibilities include providing anesthesia services for various surgical procedures, with a 50/50 split between supervising and working in their own room. The ideal candidate must have a clean file, Florida license, and DEA prior to submission. Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical procedures
• Supervise other anesthesia providers for 50% of cases
• Manage own anesthesia room for 50% of cases
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop anesthesia plans
• Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
• Manage post-operative pain and recovery
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Ensure adherence to facility protocols and best practices in anesthesiology
• Adapt to the specific needs of multiple Advent Health facilities
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Stay updated on the latest anesthesia techniques and technologies
