About The Position
Wellhart is seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens position at a healthcare facility in Florida. This 120-day assignment starts on 09/08/2025, with a potential for extension. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive anesthesia care, working Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 3 PM. Responsibilities include managing a wide range of surgical cases, including vascular, gynecological, orthopedic, trauma, ENT, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic, and more. The successful applicant should have at least 2 years of recent on-the-job experience and be proficient with Epic electronic health record system.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for a diverse range of surgical procedures
• Manage anesthesia for complex cases including cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, and trauma
• Collaborate with a care team model consisting of 22 CRNAs and 8 MDs
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative evaluations
• Adhere to anesthesiology protocols and best practices
• Maintain efficiency in a high-volume surgical setting
Additional Information:
• Florida state medical license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent on-the-job experience essential
• Comfort with a wide variety of surgical specialties, including pediatrics and obstetrics
