About The Position
Wellhart is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day locum tenens assignment at an Emergency Room in Texas. Starting on July 2, 2023, this position involves various shifts including 8a-6p, 12p-10p, and 6p-4a, with night availability being a must. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a Trauma designated community hospital, managing patients of all ages with a focus on adult and geriatric populations. Responsibilities include assisting with triage, managing patient flow, performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, and fracture care, while supporting physicians in an Emergency Department. This role requires expertise in emergency medicine and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages, primarily adults and geriatrics
• Assist with triage and manage patient flow in the Emergency Department
• Perform procedures including suturing, splinting, and fracture care
• Support physicians in patient assessment and treatment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using Epic EHR system
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure efficient and effective patient care in a Trauma setting
• Adapt to varying shift schedules, including night shifts
Additional Information:
• Must hold an active Texas nursing license
