About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular & Thoracic Nurse Practitioner for a 48-day locum tenens assignment in Maryland beginning Nov 1, 2025. This opportunity offers day shifts, Monday through Friday, with four 10-hour shifts per week. The role involves perioperative care, including post-op management, procedures, and working with a collaborative surgical team.

- Schedule: Days vary Monday through Friday, 4 ten-hour shifts per week, arrive at 6:30am, see OR patients and complete interval H&P note
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide perioperative care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients
- Conduct post-operative management including central line, arterial line, chest tube, and wound care vac procedures
- Perform vein harvesting using the Vasoview hemopro system
- Assess and document interval history and physicals for OR patients
- Collaborate with surgeons and OR staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
Additional Information
- Minimum three years of experience required
- Must have CV OR experience
- Proficiency with vein harvesting using the Vasoview hemopro system required
- Board certification required
- ACLS, BLS, and CSR licenses required
- DEA registration required
- Open to candidates eligible for Maryland licensure
