We are seeking a highly qualified Makeup Production Specialist with a background in cosmetic chemistry to lead product development, formulation, and production for our new beauty line.

Role Overview
The Makeup Production Specialist will oversee the research, development, formulation, and manufacturing of cosmetic products (foundations, lip products, skin-safe pigments, bronzers, etc.) to align with Divino Seas’ luxury positioning. This role requires deep expertise in cosmetic chemistry, ingredient safety, chemical composition, and FDA/INCI compliance, ensuring high-performing and safe products.

Key Responsibilities • Formulation Development: • Create and test formulations for luxury makeup products (lipsticks, bronzers, foundations, highlighters, etc.). • Accurately calculate chemical compositions, concentrations, and ingredient amounts to ensure product stability, performance, and safety. • Maintain precise records of formulations, ingredient sourcing, and batch production. • Ingredient & Safety Compliance: • Ensure all formulations comply with FDA, EU (REACH), and international cosmetic regulations. • Conduct stability, compatibility, and preservative efficacy testing. • Review INCI nomenclature and maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). • Production Oversight: • Manage lab-scale batches and scale up to production levels. • Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to source high-quality ingredients. • Establish SOPs for measuring, mixing, and quality control of raw materials and finished goods. • Innovation & Research: • Identify emerging trends in luxury makeup and sustainable formulation. • Research natural pigments, clean beauty standards, and innovative textures. • Contribute to packaging compatibility studies. • Cross-Team Collaboration: • Work closely with Creative Direction, Marketing, and Operations teams. • Support branding alignment by ensuring product performance matches luxury expectations.

Qualifications & Requirements • Education: • Bachelor’s degree (required) or Master’s/PhD (preferred) in: • Cosmetic Science / Cosmetic Chemistry • Pharmaceutical Sciences • Organic Chemistry / Chemical Engineering • Biochemistry • Experience: • Minimum 3–5 years in cosmetic product development or formulation. • Proven track record creating luxury or mass-market makeup products. • Experience with stability testing, raw material sourcing, and GMP standards. • Technical Skills: • Expertise in chemical composition, ingredient compatibility, and emulsification systems. • Strong knowledge of color pigments, fillers, surfactants, emulsifiers, and preservatives. • Proficiency with laboratory equipment (viscometers, homogenizers, pH meters, etc.). • Familiarity with clean beauty standards and sustainable formulation practices. • Other Skills: • Strong attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and safety protocol adherence. • Excellent organizational and documentation skills. • Ability to manage production timelines and multiple projects simultaneously.
