Position Summary: We are partnering with a growing, family-owned global wine and spirits company seeking a motivated Buyer. The Buyer will be responsible for procuring goods across various categories, including displays, apparel, barware, and more. This role requires managing supplier relationships, inventory control, and collaborating closely with manufacturing, product development, logistics, and sales teams. This is an onsite position, Monday through Friday, located in Highland Park, IL. Key Responsibilities: Manage purchasing activities in alignment with bi-annual forecasting and distribution schedules. Maintain detailed inventory reports and analysis, including inbound status and pricing updates. Recommend production adjustments based on inventory levels and sales feedback. Source and communicate with suppliers locally and internationally, negotiating pricing while maintaining quality standards. Ensure item catalog consistency across internal documentation, ERP systems, and warehouses. Candidate Profile: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in buying or planning roles. Proven experience negotiating and managing suppliers, including international partners. Proficient in ERP software, with NetSuite experience a plus. Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Compensation and Benefits: Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year. Eligible for performance-based bonuses (if applicable, add details). Medical insurance plans offered through Blue Cross Blue Shield, including PPO and HSA options. Employer HSA contributions up to $2,000 annually based on coverage level. Dental and vision insurance available; employee contributions apply. Paid Time Off (PTO) of 80 hours per year, prorated in the first year. 10 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday annually. Employer-paid life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance coverage up to $200,000. Short-term disability insurance providing 60% of salary up to $1,000 per week (coverage begins after 1 day for accidents or 8 days for illness, up to 13 weeks). Voluntary life and AD&D insurance options with guaranteed issue amounts.
