Wanco Inc. is an industrial manufacturer seeking an experienced Production Assembly Manager to support the assembly process and all applicable team members. This includes directly managing multiple assembly leads and approximately eighty assembly staff, to support the build schedule, safety, quality, 5S, and ISO 9001 compliance requirements.

What you need to have: Education and experience: Bachelor's degree and three or more years’ experience in a relevant field such as industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain management, or manufacturing management. Leadership and Team Management: The ability to motivate, guide, and develop a production team. Problem-solving and Decision-making: Identifying and resolving production bottlenecks or issues to maintain efficient output. Cause and Effect application experience required. Industrial manufacturing: Experience with fabrication, electrical and mechanical assembly, including ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications. Communication: Effectively communicating production goals, expectations, and progress to various stakeholders. Organizational and Time Management: Managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines. Analytical Skills: The ability to identify problems, analyze data, and propose effective solutions. Inventory management: Experience with MRP, pull inventory management including kanban. Lean manufacturing: Experience and demonstrated understanding of 5S compliance, flow and pull concepts. Project Management: Experience in managing factory projects such as factory layouts, adding production cells, CAPEX projects. Workplace standardization: Experience in creating, deploying and sustaining production controls such as work instructions, assembly instructions, one-point-lessons and visual workplace. What we would like you to have: Process mapping experience. DFMA experience. ISO 9001:2015 experience. Duties and Responsibilities: This includes but is not limited to: Oversee assembly department, cells and process: Manage and supervise all aspects of the production process, ensuring commitments are met. Ensuring Product Quality and Safety: Implementing and monitoring quality control processes, enforcing safety regulations, and minimizing workplace risks. Team leadership and development: Lead, mentor, and motivate leadership and production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Waste Reduction and Cost Management: Identifying opportunities to implement / sustain lean manufacturing principles. Physical Requirements: Mobility to work in office and factory setting including use of standard office equipment, including a computer. Comfortable working directly in a manufacturing facility and adhering to PPE requirements. Some travel may be required. Salary Range:

$38.00/hr to $54.00/hr depending on experience Reporting:

This position has direct reports and reports to operations management.
