We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team and drive our manufacturing excellence.

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the production floor. This role is critical to ensuring that production schedules are met, quality standards are upheld, and a safe and efficient work environment is maintained. The ideal candidate will be a motivational leader with a strong background in electronics or magnetics manufacturing, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to manage a diverse team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of production operators and technicians, providing clear direction and regular performance feedback. Conduct employee training on safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality requirements. Manage employee scheduling, work assignments, and timekeeping to ensure optimal staffing levels. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that promotes communication and employee engagement. Production & Operations Management: Execute the daily production schedule to meet output targets and customer deadlines, coordinating workflows and priorities. Monitor production processes in real-time, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, equipment issues, and material shortages to minimize downtime. Utilize the company's ERP/MRP system to track production orders, manage inventory, and report progress. Ensure the efficient and proper use of all manufacturing equipment and tooling. Quality Assurance: Uphold stringent quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) throughout the production process. Collaborate with the Quality department to investigate non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence. Champion a "quality-first" mindset among the production team. Safety & Compliance: Enforce all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct regular safety audits, lead safety meetings, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Investigate and report any workplace accidents or incidents promptly and thoroughly. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Lead and participate in Kaizen events and other improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs. Analyze production data to track KPIs such as on-time delivery, first-pass yield, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Required Qualifications and Skills: Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing Technology) or equivalent experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics, aerospace, or a related high-tech industry. Demonstrated experience in leading, training, and developing a production team. Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, including production scheduling, workflow management, and inventory control. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Experience in magnetics or electromechanical assembly manufacturing. Knowledge of quality management systems such as AS9100 and ISO 9001. Formal training and practical experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
