Controls / Automation Engineer
to join the team in Columbia City, IN. This role is critical in driving innovation and efficiency in their advanced manufacturing operations.
While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.
The ideal candidate will have a background working in a manufacturing environment with a strong knowledge of automation technologies (including PLCs, robotics, and process control systems) along with proven experience in industry converting manual processes to automated.
Key Knowledge & Skills: PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron, Bosch) Selection of PLCs, HMIs, industrial PCs, sensors, vision systems, and safety devices Programming of ABB, Kuka, Fanuc, and Festo robots Ability to read electrical diagrams (European & American systems) Industrial network design & integration Strong understanding of industrial safety standards & risk assessments Familiarity with TS16949 & ISO14001 requirements Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD, simulation software) is necessary to succeed in this position.
