Job Summary:

The Distribution Center Manager oversees all operational activities at the distribution center, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and delivery logistics. This role ensures smooth operations, accuracy, and team leadership while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations: Conduct regular check-ins with team leads to align on daily logistics operations. Oversee the picking, packing, and loading of orders and transfers, ensuring compliance with company standards. Ensure the accuracy of orders, including material verification, quality, and timely delivery. Collaborate with inventory and receiving teams to manage stock levels and reduce discrepancies. Supervise the processing of parcel shipments for customer delivery. Perform routine facility walkthroughs to identify and address housekeeping or operational issues. Team Leadership: Support front-line staff in delivering prompt and effective customer service. Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to team members, addressing performance and operational challenges. Approve schedules and time-off requests for warehouse and delivery personnel. Foster a motivating work environment that encourages high performance and teamwork. Compliance and Training: Ensure adherence to company policies and administer corrective actions when necessary. Monitor training initiatives to ensure team members complete required programs. Assist in enhancing training processes to improve overall team efficiency. Administrative Duties: Review and approve employee timecards and address discrepancies. Conduct performance evaluations, including probationary and annual reviews. Oversee daily logistics reports, including manifests and operational queues. Safety and Maintenance: Promote and enforce workplace safety practices. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the facility. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution operations. Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Effective communicator with the ability to interact across all organizational levels. Proficiency with warehouse management software; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is a plus. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Forklift operation certification is a plus. Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and working in various climate conditions.
