Overview

Total Safety is looking for a Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver to join their safety-conscious team. The role includes receiving inbound purchases, stocking items, timely and accurate order fulfillment, and timely order processing to ensure customer satisfaction. The role may require driving a company vehicle for local deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and expedites shipments
  • Determines method and mode of shipment based on customer requirements
  • Compares identifying information on outgoing shipments to verify product and counts match outbound shipment documentation
  • Maintains the overall cleanliness of the warehouse and equipment
  • Follows labeling requirements for each customer
  • Operates material handling equipment safely to meet production requirements
  • Drive a company vehicle
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Provide quality control for all outbound orders for accuracy
  • Read and interpret documents
  • Pass background and drug/alcohol tests
  • Recent or prior warehouse experience preferred
  • Maintain a clean and active driving record with a current valid driver's license
  • Manage time effectively to complete regularly scheduled tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Operation of forklift and cherry picker
  • Ability to interpret packing slips and fill out bills of lading; familiar with forms used by major freight carriers
  • Knowledge of proper packaging methods and ability to interpret visual packaging requirements
  • Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to company values
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents
  • Must be able to pass background and drug/alcohol tests
  • Nonessential: warehouse experience; UPS WorldShip knowledge/FedEx Manager knowledge
  • Reporting to this position: No direct reports
