Warehouse Associate Job at Total Safety in Sparks

Overview

Total Safety is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver to join our safety-conscious team. The role involves receiving inbound purchases, stocking items, timely and accurate order fulfillment and processing to meet customer satisfaction, and driving a company vehicle for local deliveries as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and expedites shipments
• Determines method and mode of shipment based on customer requirements
• Compares identifying information on outgoing shipments to verify product and counts match outbound shipment documentation
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the warehouse and equipment
• Follow labeling requirements for each customer
• Proper operation of material handling equipment to safety and production requirements
• Drive a company vehicle
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Role Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent
• Operation of Forklift and Cherry Picker
• Ability to read and interpret documents
• Provide quality control for all outbound orders for accuracy
• Ability to pass background and drug/alcohol test
• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• Clean and active driving record; current valid Driver’s License
• Time management to complete all regularly scheduled tasks on a timely basis
• Ability to lift 50 lbs

• Organized and time management skills
• With minimal supervision, demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems
• Ability to interpret packing slip
• Must be able to fill out Bills of Lading and be familiar with various forms used by major freight carriers
• Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids for packaging requirements
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rate, ratio, and percent
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to company values

• Warehouse experience
• UPS Worldship knowledge / FED EX Manager knowledge
