Join Verizon as a full-time Verizon Retail Sales Associate. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your career with a team focused on unlocking your full potential and sales success within one of our retail stores. You can expect to engage customers with cutting-edge technology, learn and uncover needs, and provide complete top-down sales solution recommendations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
  • Learn and uncover customers\' needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
  • Position product insights and solution recommendations to provide customers with a complete sales solution.
  • Close sales by using communication skills to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
  • Continuously develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skill in merchandising and inventory.
  • Grow your customer base by placing outbound calls and sending text messages to current Verizon customers who are interested in our products and services.
  • Engage with the community outside of the store to expand your loyal customer base, including at off-site Verizon sponsored events.

We’re hiring immediately. You can earn $16.00 to $21.00 per hour in base pay, plus up to $16,000 a year in individual-based commissions if you hit all sales goals. Top performers could earn an extra $14,500 or more in commissions, with potential total earnings of $65,000+ to $73,500+ annually. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to have:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more years of relevant experience (work or military)
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule known four weeks in advance)
  • Openness to pick up additional shifts to earn more income (summer, November–December, peak vacation periods)

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience in a commission-based environment
  • Demonstrated sales experience communicating with customers to find solutions
  • Customer service experience

Note: This is a commission-based position with potential to earn more. The starting base pay rate for New York location(s) is $16.59 per hour.
