The Opportunity
CACI is currently looking for a Data Analyst with agile methodology experience to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Northern Virginia. Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting best practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
As a member of the BEAGLE ASF Team, you will support the men and women safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. CBP agents and officers are on the front lines, every day, protecting national security by coordinating customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection.
ASF programs thrive in a culture of innovation and seek individuals who can bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural, at the team and portfolio levels. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial. You should have worked with or have a strong interest in Agile software development practices and delivering deployable software in short sprints.
Responsibilities
- Help customers and mission users conceptualize and prioritize their data analysis and visualization needs.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to prioritize competing analytic needs and incrementally develop new and optimized capabilities.
- Work on unusually complicated problems and provide solutions that are highly creative and resourceful.
- Evaluate existing data sets and reporting architectures to identify strategic gaps and apply modern technologies to achieve superior mission outcomes.
- Apply skills in development languages such as SQL, Spark, and Python to create or augment business and operational intelligence tools to detect trends, patterns, and non-obvious relationships in large, complex data sets.
- Lead across teams as a responsible, team-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills and work ethic.
- Promote Agile culture and functional decomposition.
- Identify new portfolio business value innovations and opportunities.
- Assist in removing roadblocks and impediments for the various teams.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation (criteria includes but is not limited to):
- 3 year check for felony convictions
- 1 year check for illegal drug use
- 1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
- 7+ years of professional experience solving complex data challenges in data architecture/engineering, data science, data analysis and visualization, ML/AI, or related disciplines.
- 3+ years of experience training customers on data analytical solutions.
- Proficiency with at least two data analytics tools (e.g., IBM Cognos, SAP Business Objects, Qlik, Power BI).
- Database skills for AWS RDS concepts and understanding of databases used by tools such as Databricks, Oracle, and Informatica ETL.
- Experience as an Enterprise-level Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Data Analyst.
- Strong software development background using Agile or DevOps methods with familiarity with cloud-native technologies.
- College degree (B.S.) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Desired:
- 5-10 years of DHS, DoD, or IC experience in complex data environments, including architecture and optimization of data schemas and large-scale ETL.
- 5-10 years of experience applying analytical techniques including statistical, geospatial, link, temporal, and predictive analysis for DHS, DoD, or IC agencies.
- 3-5 years of experience building AI/ML capabilities in software applications in national security or academic settings.
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps processes and tools.
- Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.

Pay Range
The proposed salary range for this position is $103,800 - $218,100. The range is influenced by location, contract terms, experience, skills, education, and certifications. CACI offers comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, family support, continuing education, and time off.
