Staff Accountant
Location: Remote (Quarterly travel to Nashville or Atlanta)
Type: Full-time
Compensation: $80,000–$85,000 annually
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role supports full-cycle general ledger accounting and financial operations across multiple clinical locations. You’ll work closely with our Senior Accountant and Finance Director to ensure accurate reporting and help scale our accounting infrastructure as we expand.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and enjoys solving problems without rigid SOPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute monthly close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
- Record revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities in accordance with GAAP
- Support accounts payable, including lease accounting, fixed assets, and prepaids
- Collaborate with clinic managers and operations staff to ensure accurate site-level accounting
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Uphold internal controls and compliance with company policies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–3 years of full-cycle general ledger accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting
- Experience with multi-site healthcare or medical practice accounting
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems
- Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- Familiarity with Bill.com or similar AP automation tools
- Exposure to intercompany transactions and multi-entity structures
