Global Cardiology, a leading privately owned Cardiology practice in Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join the team based at our Butler Clinic on a Full Time basis.
This is a phone-focused Reception role — the majority of your day will be spent answering incoming calls, assisting patients over the phone, and managing bookings. While phone work is the primary focus, you will also perform other reception and administrative duties as required.
We prioritize qualitypatient-centric healthcare services and are looking for a candidate who shares our commitment to excellence and compassion.
Principle responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Answer a high volume of calls in a warm, professional manner
- Manage patient appointment bookings and changes via our patient management Healthtrack system
- Provide basic information about our services and procedures
- Relay messages between patients and clinical staff
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Provide excellent service to patients from initial enquiry to follow up.
- Appointment book management including general testing appointments and doctors clinic bookings.
- Liaising with healthcare professionals such as referring doctors, pharmacists, hospital and other practice staff, courteously and helpfully.
- Practice billing and banking.
- Enthusiastic and positive approach to work, with high-level attention to detail and excellent time-management skills.
- Travel to other clinics for annual and sick leave relief, from time to time
Selection criteria:
- Excellent phone manner and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple calls while maintaining accuracy and courtesy
- Strong attention to detail and computer literacy
- Previous medical reception or medical call centre experience (highly regarded)
- Calm, empathetic approach to patient interactions
- Experience with Health Track is preferable, but not essential.
- Intermediate MS Office Skills - Word, Outlook, Excel
- Understanding of confidentiality requirements.
- Able to work efficiently unsupervised and as a part of a team.
- A professional standard of personal presentation.
- A high standard of integrity and an excellent work ethic.
