Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. Benefits for W2 consultants include Medical, Dental, and Vision, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: 53 - 65 USD per hour W2.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for a portfolio of journals, products, and related services.
  • Collaborate with Editors-in-Chief and internal stakeholders to align marketing plans with editorial goals.
  • Create messaging, positioning, and value propositions that resonate with authors and researchers.
  • Partner with the Demand Marketing team to deliver integrated campaigns (calls for papers, special issues, anniversaries, etc.).
  • Analyze market research, trends, and competitor activity to guide strategy.
  • Build editorial enablement tools such as presentations, one-pagers, and conference materials.
  • Present marketing updates and results at internal and external meetings, including conferences.
  • Manage budgets, track ROI, and report campaign performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in product or journals marketing.
  • Experience in academic publishing (STM) marketing strongly preferred.
  • International/global marketing experience a plus.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills; comfortable engaging with senior groups.
  • Excellent copywriting and messaging skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and tactics.
  • Collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with strong stakeholder management skills.

Education

A bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience is required for this opportunity.
