Position Summary: Responsible for facility-wide Human Resources and Safety Management, delivering comprehensive human resources programs and services. Implements integrated HR strategies and deliverables to meet overall talent and performance management needs of the organization. Ensures consistent application of Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws concerning safety and employment practices by increasing employee awareness through training and other means, developing, implementing and enforcing sound policies and programs, fulfilling regulatory compliance requirements.

Develop and maintain good employee relations by being actively involved in the resolution of employee issues as they arise, facilitating employee meetings, and communicating with employees to establish and maintain an atmosphere of collaboration between employees. Maintain human resources information system. Responsible for assisting employees with benefit and payroll questions. Responsible for meeting staffing needs of the organization. Maintain proper records to comply with Affirmative Action requirements. Advise and assist in disciplinary matters. Provide guidance on proper application of Company policies and procedures. Develop, facilitate, and coordinate training. Assess on-going training needs for all employees. Establish and maintain orientation and training documentation for all associates. Administer wage and salary procedures. Develop, maintain and adjust as necessary the salary structure of the organization to ensure employees are compensated fairly and consistently within established pay structures. Conduct salary surveys to ensure the validity of the pay structure. Develop an effective performance evaluation program and ensure that it is fairly and consistently administered. Write and update job descriptions as necessary. Confer with others members of management and the general workforce to establish and follow production and quality control standards, develop budgets and cost control measures. Confer with legal counsel as necessary. Develop, implement and support tactical and strategic plans as set forth by the Plant Manager. Maintain knowledge of, support, administer and ensure compliance with all company policies including those that are stated in the Employee Handbook, Safety Policies, Quality Policies, etc. Promote harmony in the workforce through good and open communication; fair, consistent and respectful treatment of others while maintaining discipline within the organization. Recommend and take corrective action in accordance and compliance with quality audits. Promote safety and environmental compliance through active participation and support of company safety and environmental policies and programs and initiating corrective action for recognized unsafe conditions or hazards. Report any incident, regardless of severity, including fire, equipment damage, facility damage, or employee injury to the Human Resources Department. Other duties as assigned.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree of 5 plus years of demonstrated successful HR management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
