About the Role
The Human Resources Generalist III provides advanced HR support across the organization, working closely with the Managing Director and leadership team. This role is responsible for administering HR programs and policies, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, sourcing new talent, and supporting employees throughout the employment lifecycle. The HR Generalist serves as a resource to staff and management, handling a broad range of human resources activities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Benefits & Leave Administration
- Support benefit programs including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and 401(k).
- Assist employees with benefits questions, enrollment, and issue resolution.
- Maintain records and support compliance with reporting requirements.
- Workers’ Compensation & Unemployment
- Coordinate reporting and documentation for workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist with recruiting activities including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
- Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and support managers through the hiring process.
- Deliver new hire orientations and assist with onboarding documentation.
- Policy & Compliance
- Maintain the Employee Handbook and HR policies to ensure alignment with company practices and compliance with state and federal laws.
- Ensure records, documentation, and reporting meet regulatory requirements.
- Compensation & Performance Support
- Conduct market research and salary benchmarking to support competitive pay practices.
- Assist with the performance review process, including recordkeeping and communications with managers.
- Training & Development
- Coordinate required training and maintain employee training/licensure records.
- Employee Relations & Engagement
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
- Support a positive workplace culture through communication, recognition, and participation in company initiatives.
- Other Duties
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with privacy/security standards.
- Support HR projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field required.
- 4–6 years of progressive HR experience required.
- Experience in financial services or professional services preferred.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HR programs, policies, and employment law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms (Paychex a plus)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle complex issues with minimal supervision.
- Professional judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $34-37 DOE
