Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Houston, TX (onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire
Compensation: $55,000–$70,000 annually (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join a collaborative and people-first organization in Houston. This newly created role supports business growth and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven culture centered around healthcare and patient care. As the HR Coordinator, you’ll be the go-to person for administrative HR support, employee engagement activities, and process improvements. You’ll work closely with the HR Manager and broader HR team to ensure smooth operations and a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting support: job postings, resume reviews, interview coordination, background checks.
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes including I-9s, W-4s, direct deposits, and exit interviews.
- Process bi-weekly payroll and verify timesheets, deductions, and reporting accuracy.
- Support benefits and leave administration, including open enrollment and insurance reconciliation.
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate reports for internal use.
- Organize and execute employee engagement activities and team-building events.
- Apply AI tools (e.g., CoPilot, ChatGPT) to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
- Assist with employment verifications and workers’ compensation claims.
- Document and improve HR processes for scalability and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR or administrative support roles.
- Strong working knowledge of AI platforms used in HR (e.g., CoPilot, ChatGPT).
- Healthcare industry experience highly preferred.
- Experience with Paycom HRIS system is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
