Position Overview The
Trade Compliance Manager
is a critical member of the Supply Chain team, responsible for ensuring global import/export compliance across Cambium’s operations. This role oversees compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations including
EAR, ITAR, CBP, OFAC , and applicable foreign national requirements in all jurisdictions where Cambium operates. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in international trade regulations, experience with export licensing, and the ability to manage cross-border compliance activities in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day global import/export compliance activities to ensure adherence to U.S. and international regulations. Monitor trade screening through
Amber Road
and maintain compliance documentation. Support and manage
export license applications
via SNAP-R (U.S. Department of Commerce BIS) and coordinate licensing activities in the EU and APAC regions. Review and screen all product or technology transfers against global watch lists. Partner with 3PL transportation providers to resolve trade compliance issues and maintain accurate records. Validate product classifications, country of origin, and Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS) for import/export activities. Maintain centralized product item master matrix of HTS, ECCN, and COO data, ensuring updates are shared with logistics partners. File AES submissions, process Carnets, and support BIS self-classification ENC reporting requirements. Assist with voluntary self-disclosures and ensure due diligence is completed. Provide training on specific trade compliance topics and stay current on regulatory changes through seminars and professional development. Partner cross-functionally with
Legal, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, Procurement, and Order Management
teams on compliance issues.
Qualifications 5+ years
of experience in International Trade Compliance. Strong knowledge of U.S. and global trade regulations including
EAR, ITAR, CBP, OFAC . Experience supporting the
export license application process
and technical documentation. Customs Brokerage License (active or prior) a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong communication skills with the ability to manage cross-cultural, global interactions across multiple time zones. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
