The Vice President, Business Banking is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and client satisfaction across a diverse portfolio of business clients. This role serves as the primary relationship manager, focusing on delivering tailored financial solutions while ensuring adherence to risk and compliance standards. The VP will leverage deep market knowledge, proven banking expertise, and a strong network within the Miami/Broward market to exceed sales goals, cross-sell banking services, and expand client relationships.

Key Responsibilities: Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of business banking clients, serving as the primary point of contact. Proactively identify client needs and deliver customized financial solutions, including lending, deposits, treasury management, and personal banking services. Consistently achieve or exceed annual and quarterly goals in revenue growth, new business development, client retention, and cross-selling. Develop and execute strategic business development plans, leveraging community involvement, networking, and referral sources. Maintain strong knowledge of market trends, competitor offerings, and client industries to anticipate needs and position the bank competitively. Lead client onboarding, ensuring seamless delivery of products and services while providing exceptional client service. Manage credit requests, structure deals, and work closely with underwriting and credit teams to ensure quality and timely approvals. Monitor portfolio performance, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to maximize profitability while mitigating credit and operational risks. Ensure compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, audit standards, and risk management practices. Partner with internal teams (Wealth Management, Treasury Management, Retail Banking) to deliver comprehensive solutions that strengthen client relationships.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., MBA, CFA, CTP) preferred. 7+ years of progressive business or commercial banking experience with proven portfolio management and business development success. Demonstrated experience and established network in the Miami/Broward market is required. Strong understanding of credit structuring, underwriting, risk analysis, and regulatory compliance. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to build trust-based relationships. Proficiency with banking systems, credit analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
