Northwood Club is a prestigious country club established in 1946, we are best known for hosting the 1952 Golf U.S. Open. Our beautifully renovated PGA Championship Golf Course was named #1 Best Golf Course Renovation in Avid Golfer Magazine for 2019. Avid Golfer in 2021 gave the Club a ranking of #1 Elite Country Club in the DFW area and best pool hangout. This position supports food and beverage servers by running food and/or beverage orders. Assist with refilling beverages and bussing tables when needed. Provides high quality service to members and guests. Candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties:

Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner.

Prepares and serves food and beverage items.

Assists with refilling of beverages

Bussing tables

Maintains organized and clean work area.

Ensures accuracy of orders and verifies presentation before service

Ensure opening and closing checklists are complete.

Assist Expo when needed.

Assist with kids activities during special events when needed.

May required to perform additional duties as needed.

Controls inventory through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products.

Completes side work and cleaning duties as needed.

Reports to department manager when supplies need to be ordered.

Observes and participates in safety at all times.

Education / Experience:

Less than High School or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

May be required: to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence; to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, members, and other associates of the organization.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands and walks; uses hands to feel or handle; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches; talks or hears. Occasionally sits; climbs or balances. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Vision Requirements:

Regularly uses close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to adjust focus.

Environment/ Noise:

Frequently works in indoor weather conditions. Outdoor for special events in which temperatures can be as high as 120 degrees. Noise level is moderate to high.

Certificates/Licenses:

Food Handlers and TABC Certified preferred

Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability Preferences:

Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers, members, or co-workers. Also the manuals for equipment that's used are in English.)
