Weekly hours: Monday – Friday 6a – 3:30p. Overtime as needed.

Position Details

Job Purpose: Drive transfer truck and/or box truck to and from locations and yard jockey.

Responsibilities

• Using a Transfer Truck to move trailers from one location to another.
• Pick up frames and other supplies needed and deliver to both locations as needed using Transfer Truck or Box Truck.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Working Conditions

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors. Tractor Trailer or Box Truck. Typical Warehouse environment.

Supervision

Supervision received: Minimum. Supervision exercised: None. Direct reports: None.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience requirements: CDL Driver; Warehouse
• Preferred experience: Experience in furniture manufacturing
• Minimum education requirements: Less than High School
• Preferred education requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required Skills and Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must have current CDLs
• Must have a good driving safety record
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including the ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues
• Strict attention to detail
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision
• Must have your own reliable transportation
• Must be able to stand, walk and drive for a minimum of 8 hours a day
• Must be able to work on weekends and overtime
• Reliability
• Strong English language skills, including reading, comprehension, speaking, writing and communication
• Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as safety glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes
• Must be able to adhere to all safety policies and procedures
