Healthcare Call Center Representative. Location: Onsite in San Diego, CA 92123. Target Start Date: November 3, 2025. Contract: 13-week to start, with potential for extension and permanent placement. Schedule: Must be able to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-6:00pm. Need to be flexible with schedule and after hours support. Evenings (6:00pm-8:00pm), weekends (Saturday & Sunday), holidays (2-3 year round).

About the Role: We are seeking a Healthcare Call Center Representative to support members with their healthcare benefits. This role involves high-volume inbound and outbound calls, assisting patients with eligibility, coverage questions, copay collection, and Medicare redetermination.

Responsibilities

  • Handle 60-80 inbound calls/day in a fast-paced healthcare call center environment
  • Assist patients with benefits inquiries, application reviews, copay collection, and coverage walkthroughs
  • Provide support for Medicare Redetermination and Health Plan enrollment
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Use multi-line phone systems and multitask across various platforms
  • Deliver exceptional service with a caring, kind, and supportive approach

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (must be able to provide a copy for onboarding)
  • No time off in the first 13 weeks
  • Minimum 1 year of recent call center experience (within the last 6 months)
  • Proven experience in a healthcare call center environment
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA, Medicare, and insurance eligibility
  • Comfortable with multi-line phone systems and multitasking
  • Must be seeking a long-term career opportunity
  • Receptionist/front desk-only experience will not be considered

Nice-to-Haves

  • Prior experience with Medicare enrollment or redetermination
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems or insurance platforms
  • Strong investigative and research skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
