Our locations are Palo Alto, CA US, New York City, NY US, Kohler, WI US, Seoul, Korea, and Tel Aviv, Israel.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software and Firmware Quality Engineering Manager to lead and manage a team of 6+ talented Software and Firmware QA Engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the overall quality strategy, ensuring best-in-class software and firmware products, and fostering a high-performance team culture. You will report to the Head of Software Engineering and will work closely with cross-functional teams including Hardware Development, Product Management and GTM teams toensure the entire development lifecycle takes a quality first approach.In your role as Software and Firmware Quality Engineering Manager Lead at Kohler Ventures you will: Work directly with the Head of Software, software/hardware engineering team, and product teamsLead, mentor, and manage a team of 6+ Software and Firmware QA EngineersDefine and drive quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices across software and firmware development cyclesOversee the deployment and integration of test automation into the CI/CD pipeline.Oversee the planning, development, and execution of test strategies, test plans, and test cases for both manual and automated testingCollaborate with Hardware development teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLCCoordinate and prioritize testing activities to meet release schedules and project milestonesImplement and monitor quality metrics and KPIs to assess product quality and team performanceIdentify and mitigate risks related to product quality and delivery timelinesAdvocate for continuous improvement in QA practices, tools, and methodologiesParticipate in release readiness reviews and Scrum meetings toprovide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, estimates, or potential problems.and ensure all quality criteria are met before product launch Skills/Requirements Required QualificationsYou hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.7+ years of experience as a Software QA Engineer, with at least 3 years in a team management roleExperience in development using PythonExperience with functional, regression, and end-to-end testingExperience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Appium, Espresso or XCUI.Experience validating iOS, AndroidAbility to translate business requirements into test plans and develop test automation at all layers of the software stackMinimal travel, both domestically and internationally, is neededExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAvailability to work outside of standard businesshours to be able to collaboratewith teams and vendors across multipletime zonesMinimal travel both domestically and internationallyPreferred QualificationsKnowledge in software and hardware/firmware and information security for cloud and IoT devicesExperience validating embedded firmware for IoT devices#LI-NR1#LI-Hybrid CUSTOM.PAY.TRANSPARENCY Why Choose Kohler?
