Full-Charge Bookkeeper
We're working with a growing company in Palo Alto that's looking to bring on a Full-Charge Bookkeeper to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who is confident managing the full general ledger, from data entry to financial reporting, and can operate independently while collaborating with leadership. If you enjoy taking full ownership of the books and working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, this could be a great fit. Key responsibilities include: Handle full-cycle bookkeeping, including AR, AP, and payroll Manage month-end and year-end close procedures Maintain general ledger and reconcile all balance sheet accounts Prepare financial statements: income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow Process payroll and related tax filings, benefits tracking, and deductions Manage vendor payments, invoicing, and collections Prepare reports for leadership and assist with budgeting and forecasting Coordinate with CPA firm during tax season or audit reviews Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices Requirements: Qualifications & skills: 4+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles and month-end close Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax filings High attention to detail, with strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent time management and ability to work independently Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred Software experience: QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop (required) Bill.com, Gusto, Ramp, or Expensify for AP, payroll, and expense tracking Excel (intermediate to advanced) for reporting and reconciliations Experience with NetSuite, Xero, or Sage Intacct is a plus Familiarity with ADP or Paychex for payroll is a bonus
