Project Manager – Commercial Construction (Sacramento, CA)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial budgets, coordinate contractors, and manage the construction process from start to finish.
  • Compile and plan budgets, cost estimates, and financial projections.
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and trade workers on project development.
  • Order and manage materials and equipment.
  • Provide internal reporting and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, building and safety codes, inspections, city guidelines, and state regulations.
  • Perform cost estimating duties when required.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Define subcontractor scopes for contracts.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with strict budget management.
  • Highly organized with the ability to create and manage multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules.
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members, vendors, and clients.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, architecture, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager or in a similar project management role.
  • Proficiency with project management software (Microsoft Projects, Procore, Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Knowledgeable in fiscal management, including pay applications, change orders, and contracts.
