About the Role Client's Procurement department manages over $12B in annual company spend and partners with internal clients and suppliers to deliver strategic sourcing, category management, and cost optimization solutions. The

Manager, IT Procurement

will drive category strategies, contract governance, and supplier relationship management across multiple spend categories. This role influences key stakeholders, identifies cost savings and standardization opportunities, and leads a team of sourcing professionals to deliver high-impact results.

Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sourcing and category management plans to deliver cost savings, supplier diversity, and service excellence. Lead complex cross-functional teams on sourcing initiatives and negotiations. Oversee contract governance and approve purchase orders/contracts ($500K–$10M). Manage spend analysis, benchmarking, and business case development. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships with performance accountability. Supervise Sourcing Supervisors, Category Leaders, and Specialists.

Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience). 8+ years in sourcing/procurement or related field. Proven leadership and cross-functional team management. Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. Preferred: MBA or advanced degree. 2–3 years supervisory experience. Experience with SAP/SRM, project management, or utility industry. Procurement transformation and category management expertise.
