This is a Contract to Hire position!

The Master Scheduler is responsible for managing demands/forecasts and providing master production schedules, optimizing customer service, inventory management, and capacity utilization through development of an accurate forecast. Provides operational analysis and planning support to Product Management and Operations. Responsibilities: Administers policy, procedures, and operating guidelines for the planning, scheduling and sequencing process for local operations; to include or limited to PMO, AO, Centac, Sheet Metal and or Recuperator Operations. Assists with the preparation of the SiOP Process Manages the production demand streams within operations system for dependent and independent demand items Assists planners and schedulers with set and control production priorities to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction in meeting promise dates Serves as the approval authority for all changes and updates to production and plans for overall customer commitments Maintains production levels within capacity levels, allocations, and budgeted guidelines Maintains production planning and scheduling integrity with a 99 % level of record accuracy Implements and maintains production plans based on planning and sequencing rules Maintains a positive rapport with peers, facilitators, customers, and operations managers, as well as other support functions. Maintains planning parameters within the operations system to include safety stock for market request, Mfg LT, Order Periods, planner codes, and more. Create work orders to customer requirements in the operation system basis material availability being driven from the SiOP into the forecasting module. Maintains scheduling and sequencing rules Maintains planning percentage for all manufactured items for area of assignment Creates solid processes around supply chain to support Order fulfillment. Directly responsible for the health and safety of all employees in their department/area. You are responsible for hazard control in your area(s), ensuring employees in your area(s) comply with EHS processes and rules, allowing adequate time off of the floor to complete required training, and modeling proactive EHS behaviors.

Qualifications/Skills: APICS or NAPM Certification (CPIM, CIRM, or CPM) preferred. Knowledge of 6 sigma / Lean methodology. Knowledge of the Sales & Operations Planning process. Extensive PC Skills: Excel, Word, Access, and Mfg Pro. Experience in industrial / manufacturing Knowledge of MRP, inventory management, Routings, and Bills of Materials. Solid mechanical aptitude to understand the assembly process and build sequence. Excellent verbal and written communications skills Detail oriented and highly motivated Ability to work in a team environment Ability to manage production planning, scheduling and sequencing functions for multi-plant operation Knowledge and experience in working with ERP Systems Degree Required & Experience Type: 4 year degree in Business with Supply Chain focus or engineering APICS (CPIM) and/or NAPM (CPM) certification preferred. 5-10 years experience in production planning and inventory management
