This role will support the Real Estate Manager in overseeing all aspects of a portfolio of commercial office and industrial properties. The Assistant Real Estate Manager will focus on providing superior service to tenants and building owners while assisting with the operational and financial management of the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Respond to tenant needs and coordinate with maintenance staff to resolve issues. Maintain strong tenant relationships and support high retention levels. Communicate regularly with property owners to ensure objectives are met. Support operating and capital expense planning, budgeting, and reporting. Assist with preparation of budgets, forecasts, management plans, and variance reports. Perform regular property inspections and recommend maintenance or improvements as needed. Coordinate tenant move-ins, move-outs, and space “walk-throughs.” Manage vendor services and contracts as required. Oversee rent collection, expense payments, and lease compliance; recommend legal action as necessary. Prepare accurate and timely reports for ownership. Participate in industry associations and represent the property as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. Minimum of 2+ years of relevant property management or real estate experience. CPM or RPA designation preferred. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
