Job Summary
We are seeking a
Temporary Attorney
to join the Legal Department’s contracting team. This role will support the contracting needs of various General & Administrative (G&A) departments, with a primary focus on IT, privacy, and information security matters. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel, Contracts, the successful candidate will independently manage and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements while ensuring legal and business alignment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, software licenses, cloud computing agreements, and data processing agreements. Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms and assist in resolving contractual issues. Identify legal risks and communicate them effectively to internal teams. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure agreements reflect business needs and protect the company’s interests. Support contracts managers during complex negotiations. Contribute to the development and refinement of templates, playbooks, and contracting processes.
Qualifications JD degree required; must be admitted to practice law, preferably in California. BS/BA degree, preferably in life sciences or a related field. 5–7 years of experience in transactional law, with a focus on IT-related contracts. Strong understanding of legal issues related to privacy and information security. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CLM systems; familiarity with document comparison tools.
