Design Engineer

for a utility company in the Tucker, GA area. This is a direct hire position with a pay range of $130K to $200K, depending on experience, education and location.

Seniority / Experience: 5-7 years of experience for E3 20+ years of experience for E6 Top Skills: PLS-CADD experience Experience designing Transmission Lines Responsibilities: The Transmission Line Design Engineer is responsible for independently performing physical design, grading and site design, or structural design of highly complex electrical power transmission lines. Create drawings, specifications, and contract documents to be used for construction, fabrication, or site grading. Conduct research, engineering studies, evaluation and approval of materials, and design standards development Evaluate, select, and apply standard and unique design techniques, procedures, and criteria required for design development, exercising judgment in making adaptations and modifications for highly complex design projects Represent Design Services as an internal part of a corporate team on assignments with clear and specific objectives Lead the development and modification of design standards May represent corporation in court of law providing legal testimony on engineering standards and practices Conduct design review of complex design projects Coordinate the training of new design associates If interested, forward resume to
