Thousand Oaks Unified School District is seeking a dedicated and credentialed
Occupational Therapist (OT)
to support students across several elementary school sites. The therapist will deliver services aligned with student IEP goals, promote functional independence, and collaborate with educational teams in inclusive classroom settings. Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative OT services for K5 students Assess fine motor, sensory processing, and self-regulation needs Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations in compliance with IDEA timelines Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Travel between elementary campuses as needed Maintain timely documentation and service logs Qualifications:
Valid
California OT License (OTR/L) NBCOT Certification Previous
school-based experience
strongly preferred Strong communication, time management, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student needs Work Environment:
Assigned to multiple elementary school sites in Thousand Oaks Supportive district-level Special Education team Schedule follows districts school-year calendar (excludes holidays and breaks) On-site hours: MondayFriday, approx. 8:00 AM
