A school district in Hendersonville, TN is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support K-12 students throughout the upcoming school year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic educational environment focused on fostering student success and well-being.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
Providing counseling and behavioral interventions to students as needed
Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing expert recommendations
Assisting in crisis response and prevention activities to support school safety and student mental health
Maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Desired qualifications:
Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
Valid state certification or licensure to practice as a School Psychologist
Experience working with diverse K-12 populations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel
Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies aligned with current best practices
