A dedicated School Psychologist opportunity is available in Madison, Tennessee, serving K-12 students on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. This role focuses on supporting the mental health and educational development of a diverse student population, collaborating with educators, parents, and administrators to create effective intervention plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across K-12 to identify learning challenges and developmental needs
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student success and well-being
Provide counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
Analyze data and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide mental health initiatives
Qualifications and Experience:
Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Tennessee
Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments in a K-12 setting
Strong knowledge of special education laws, guidelines, and best practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
