What You’ll Do
As a Structural Engineer/Project Manager, you will oversee a variety of structural engineering projects with an emphasis on buildings. You’ll collaborate with team members, manage multiple projects, and provide technical expertise. Responsibilities include:
Structural analysis and design for commercial, industrial, and public structures
Use of structural analysis tools such as Risa, Enercalc, and Mathcad
Preparation of project documentation, construction drawings, and reports
Coordination with architects, engineers, clients, and construction teams
Field visits and construction administration support
Mentorship and support for junior staff
Management of project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Project Types
You will be working on a range of exciting and impactful structural engineering projects, including:
Commercial and public facilities
Educational buildings
Healthcare facilities
Industrial buildings
Military facilities
Structural retrofits and renovations
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is technically proficient, collaborative, and self-driven. TD&H will provide training in project management. Preferred qualifications include:
MS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
Engineering in Training (EIT) Required, Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred with structural design experience
5+ years of experience in structural analysis and design for buildings
Proficiency with structural design software such as Risa, Enercalc, and Mathcad
Proficiency with construction document preparation and detailing, report writing and working in excel spreadsheets.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and interact with clients and structural drafters
Physically Able / Willingness to travel for site visits and project coordination (5–10% of time)
