Now Hiring: Demand Planner / Scheduler
I’m partnering with a
leading wholesale distributor
to recruit a
Demand Planner / Scheduler
for a newly created role. This is a chance to make a real impact – you’ll be building processes from the ground up, driving forecasting, and shaping how planning and scheduling runs across the business.
What you’ll be doing: Develop and maintain demand forecasts using customer data, history, and supplier lead times Translate forecasts into supply and production schedules for SKUs Partner closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to align supply with demand Monitor inventory, safety stock, and replenishment needs to avoid shortages/excesses Create scheduling plans for inbound shipments and production orders Provide purchasing teams with accurate needs for procurement and budgeting Lead reporting and analysis, presenting insights to management Play a key role in setting up and defining demand planning processes (this function doesn’t yet exist – you’ll own it!)
What we’re looking for: Experience in demand planning, scheduling, or supply chain Strong Excel skills (reporting, forecasting, pivot tables, functions) ERP/MRP experience (Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus) Automotive or wholesale distribution background highly valued Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally Confident self-starter who can own and build out the function
