Position Summary:
As an
HR Generalist
at HK Kolmar, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions including recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration. This role combines day-to-day HR operations with a focus on talent acquisition to ensure the company attracts, develops, and retains top talent. You will partner closely with department managers, employees, and external partners to support business needs, maintain compliance with employment laws, and contribute to a positive and engaging workplace culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Manage full cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt roles, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create effective recruiting strategies. Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications, and travel logistics when necessary. Build and maintain candidate pipelines through job boards, referrals, agencies, and networking. Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurate employee data and records in HRIS/ADP. Support benefits administration, PTO tracking, and leave management. Assist with performance management processes and disciplinary actions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, NJ/PA sick leave, etc.). Participate in audits and ensure proper documentation and policy adherence.
HR Projects & Continuous Improvement Assist in implementing HR programs such as safety, uniform/locker management, and facility support. Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience. Support cross-functional projects and organizational initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred but not required. Experience: 3–5 years of HR generalist experience, including recruiting responsibilities. Manufacturing or consumer goods industry experience a plus. Working knowledge of HR laws, practices, and systems. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual preferred (Spanish/Gujarati) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred). High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
