Job Description:
The Corrective Maintenance Group Leader is responsible for managing a team of maintenance technicians to ensure timely and effective repair of machinery and equipment across casting, forging, and machining lines. This role focuses on minimizing equipment downtime while ensuring corrective maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production goals and quality standards.
What You Will Do:
Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of corrective maintenance technicians.
Assign work based on priority and skill set.
Monitor performance, provide feedback, and create skill development plans.
Corrective Maintenance Execution
Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures in aluminum casting equipment, forging presses, and CNC machining centers.
Coordinate repair activities to quickly restore operational status.
Track Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and review maintenance data to identify critical parts and anticipate potential failures.
Ensure all corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities are documented in the CMMS.
Technical & Process Improvement Analyze recurring failures to determine root causes and recommend improvements. Partner with engineering to implement technical solutions that increase reliability. Lead or participate in Kaizen, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives. Qualifications: Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. 10+ years of heavy manufacturing maintenance experience (aluminum or metalworking preferred). 5+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience. Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC-based controls, and industrial safety.
