Full-time, Direct hire About the Role Our client is seeking a

Maintenance Manager

to lead their maintenance team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring continuity and reliability of CNC machining operations while managing a team of four maintenance technicians. The Maintenance Manager will oversee department expenses, develop preventive maintenance strategies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision:

Manage and mentor a team of four maintenance technicians. Assign workloads, provide training, monitor performance, and ensure accountability. Department Oversight:

Track and manage departmental expenses, including maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, vendor services, and cost-saving initiatives. Preventive Maintenance (PM):

Develop, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance tasks for CNC equipment (lathes, mills, automation equipment). Ensure accurate recordkeeping of PM activities. Troubleshooting & Repairs:

Provide guidance and hands-on support in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system faults. Use root-cause analysis to reduce downtime. Equipment Reliability:

Ensure CNC machines and automation systems are aligned, calibrated, and operating at peak performance. Coordinate with outside vendors for complex repairs or upgrades. Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement opportunities to improve machine uptime, reliability, safety, and efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational goals. Safety & Compliance:

Enforce adherence to OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Collaboration:

Work closely with production and engineering teams to support equipment needs and ensure minimal production interruptions. Core Competencies Strong leadership and people-management skills. Technical expertise in CNC maintenance and repair. Ability to balance hands-on work with administrative and budget responsibilities. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred. 8+ years of experience maintaining CNC machining equipment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role. Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems. Experience with CNC/PLC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar platforms). Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and service manuals. Familiarity with expense tracking, budgeting, and vendor management. OSHA 10/30, LOTO, and electrical safety training preferred.
