1:1 Speech Therapist in Atascadero, CA

This opportunity is for a full-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide 1:1 services in a middle school setting located in Atascadero, CA. This contract position spans a full school year, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. Both licensed SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply; Clinical Fellows must provide documentation of supervision arrangements. The practice environment covers students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, primarily serving mild to moderate speech and language needs. This role emphasizes direct therapy and does not involve voice disorders (VOCO) services or require Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs). Responsibilities include: Delivering individualized speech-language therapy to students with mild to moderate communication challenges Collaborating with educators and other support staff to integrate therapy goals into daily classroom activities Monitoring student progress and maintaining thorough documentation Supporting IEP development and participating in related meetings Desired qualifications and experience: Valid California SLP license or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year with supervision plan Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings Strong skills in providing direct 1:1 therapy for a range of speech and language disorders Ability to work effectively onsite within a school environment This role offers a consistent schedule aligned with the school calendar, providing meaningful opportunities to impact student communication skills over the academic year.
