New Endo Neuro Surg locum need in Washington, MO-MO license only-ASAP start-Rate open to discussion
Endovascular Neurosurgeons only. MO license ONLY, Board Certified, Neurosurgeon who does both clipping and coiling to get this candidate expedited for onboarding. Will not consider IMLC.
They will have to be Neurosurgeons, with OR privileges and the ability to clip and coil, but we will be hiring them specifically for Interventional Stroke call and not general Neurosurgery call coverage.
Dates of need vary month to month and are usually known 2-3 months in advance. If dates known further out, they will be posted as well. Try to get one week 10 days at a time. Sometimes have 4 days across a weekend and possibly more than once per month when this occurs.
Number of calls per shift vary due to the nature of call. Must be available, of course, but number of calls vary due to number of stroke activations and then how many of those require intervention.
On-call coverage 7 days per month, 24-hour shifts, would be the ask in terms of shifts needed.
Call Hours - 7A - 7A
Support Staff: Stroke Team
IMLC is not a deterrent, but a MO license must be in place before credentialing and privileges can begin. Due to time constraints, it is best if the candidates already have a MO license.
Patient Census varies as this is specific to Interventional Stroke call a very distinct patient population.
Neurohospitalists are always present, as is a member of the Stroke Nursing Team and the Neurosurgery Trauma Team.
Mercy Springfield uses Epic.
If you think this might fit for you, reach out anytime! I am happy to help.
Thanks,
Robert Brabbs BSN/RN
