Business Analyst

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, Tuesday & Wednesday required)

Rate: $50–60/hr on W-2 (No C2C)

Duration: Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong skills in requirement gathering, Agile methodologies, and Azure DevOps. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered successfully by bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting clear, testable requirements, maintaining project backlogs, and supporting Agile project execution. This role requires someone detail-oriented, highly communicative, and capable of working in both technical and business-facing contexts.

Key Responsibilities

• Document clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements in standard templates.
• Facilitate requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders to identify impacted processes.
• Manage project backlog in Azure DevOps, collaborating with Product Owners to prioritize features and user stories.
• Monitor project scope and ensure requirements align with defined objectives.
• Work with project teams (UI/UX designers, developers, testers, DBAs) to ensure requirements are well understood and implemented.
• Support quality assurance efforts by creating testable requirements and reviewing test plans.
• Provide analysis for build vs. buy decisions.
• Deliver project documentation and ensure compliance with standard methodologies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain product roadmaps.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (creating/managing epics, features, and user stories).
• Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance processes.
• Skilled in documenting As-Is and To-Be processes and creating product roadmaps.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with BA tools such as Figma and Visio.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
