The Corporate Accounting Senior Accountant role will report to the Accounting Senior Manager and will help drive month end close and implement process changes within the accounting team. Primary responsibilities include cash account reconciliations, analysis of prepaid assets, accounting for fixed assets, leases, intangible assets, debt, and accruals. Additional responsibilities involve process and system improvements, management reporting and analysis, and supporting other functions within the accounting team as well as the broader organization.
Principle Accountabilities
- Lead in month-end closes by analyzing activity for assigned accounts (cash, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, intangible assets, payroll, debt and accrued expenses), preparing journal entries, and reconciling general ledger accounts for balance sheet and income statement accounts (60%).
- Perform timely bank account analysis to ensure cash receipts, disbursements, chargebacks, and bank and merchant fees are accurately reflected in the general ledger and prepare daily cash summaries for the CFO and executive management team. Provide support and guidance to the AR and AP teams in determining how to process various transactions (10%).
- Oversee the accounting of capital and intangible assets, including recording the cost of newly acquired fixed assets, tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for capital leases (10%).
- Collaborate with FP&A to perform financial statement analysis and document meaningful explanations for fluctuations to help management make business decisions (10%).
- Other ad hoc projects include but are not limited to (10%):
- Develop and implement process improvements, document desktop procedures and processes to achieve efficiency.
- Support external audit requirements.
- Assist management in completing special projects and analyses on an ad-hoc basis.

Requirements
Required Skills & Experience :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance required
- CPA license or CPA eligible preferred but not required
- 2 years of related professional experience preferred but not required
- Consumer products or manufacturing industry experience is preferred, but not required
- Netsuite experience preferred, but not required
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collaborator and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

FORMA Brands takes a market-based approach to pay, and amounts will vary depending on your geographic location. The salary range reflected here is for positions based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future without notice.
Compensation Range : $85,000 - $95,000
