Position Overview

A critical access hospital in Alaska is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN to provide a mix of clinic and call coverage . The provider will manage outpatient OB/GYN clinic, inpatient labor and delivery, and emergency consults.

This locums role offers expedited credentialing (AK license required at submission), consistent call stretches, and a supportive team environment with a second OB/GYN on backup at all times.

Assignment Highlights
  • Coverage Dates: October 29, 2025 April 28, 202
  • Schedule:
    • Clinic: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
    • Call: 24-hr call blocks (2 3 days in a row, with clinic in between)
    • Call requirement: 7 days/month, first or second call
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient & outpatient (hospital + clinic privileges required)
  • Beds: 25 total (5 L&D)
  • Support: Always a second OB/GYN on call; 24/7 ED and hospitalist coverage
  • Observed Holidays: New Year s, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
Skills & Experience
  • Board Certified in OB/GYN (required)
  • Active Alaska license (required at submission no exceptions )
  • DEA & CSR (required)
  • EPIC EMR proficiency (required)
  • Full-scope, general OB/GYN practice (deliveries, ED consults, L&D coverage)
  • No expectation for scheduled surgeries unless assisting or as second surgeon
