As the
Planning Director - Americas , you will lead all planning activities across Demand, Supply, Inventory, and Production for the Americas region. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement comprehensive planning and production plans that align with the company's strategic goals, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality product to our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, warehousing, logistics, production, and sales to streamline processes, maximize resource utilization, and improve on-time delivery.
By utilizing your analytical skills, strategic thinking, and interpersonal acumen, you will develop, implement, and sustain innovative solutions to reduce lead times, minimize risk, and improve on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has a passion for problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a track record of delivering impactful results.
Responsibilities
Own and lead the planning strategy across the Americas, ensuring full integration of demand, supply, and inventory plans.
Manage and develop the planning teams in the Americas, including demand planners, supply planners, and master schedulers.
Ensure accurate demand forecasts in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management.
Translate commercial demand into supply and capacity plans aligned with operational capabilities and constraints.
Lead the regional S&OP process, including scenario planning, risk mitigation, and executive alignment.
Optimize inventory levels across sites and channels, balancing service, cost, and working capital.
Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure synchronized planning and execution.
Use planning tools and data analytics to drive performance visibility and continuous improvement.
Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, and capacity utilization.
Represent the Americas region in global planning forums and strategic projects.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations planning, or manufacturing.
Proficiency in ERP and planning tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
Strong analytical, forecasting, and scenario modeling skills.
Advanced Excel and data visualization (Power BI) desirable.
Exceptional cross-functional communication and leadership ability.
Strong business acumen with the ability to influence at executive level.
Service-oriented, flexible, solution-focused, and able to perform well under pressure.
Comfortable managing ambiguity and driving change in a complex, fast-moving environment.
Educational requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field (STEM).
MBA or APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) preferred.
