Pay Range: $ 79.52 - $ 127.13 The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Overview Under the direction of the Executive Director of Quality, you will provide day-to-day operational leadership for risk management. You will be responsible for developing and coordinating risk management programs, patient safety initiatives, and accreditation compliance, all aimed at reducing damage claims against the hospital and maintaining regulatory compliance. What You’ll Do
Risk Management Leadership:
Enhance systems to monitor and manage risk and patient safety events. Develop structures and processes for analyzing risk management data.
Project Leadership:
Lead facility-wide projects and prepare claims files for various types of insurance. Work with claims and legal counsel to manage cases and determine claims causation.
Education & Improvement:
Provide education on risk, regulatory compliance, and risk exposure. Implement immediate process improvements in response to significant risk incidents.
Root Cause Analysis:
Lead root cause analysis and support compliance with regulatory agencies and the Joint Commission.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with hospital managers and risk specialists to ensure consistent and effective risk management and patient safety functions.
What You’ll Bring
Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare-related field; Master's Degree preferred.
Experience:
5 years of supervisory or management experience overseeing comparable functions and working with risk management and regulatory agency issues in healthcare.
Certification:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
Understanding of national healthcare trends, risk management fundamentals, privacy, compliance, patient safety, and regulatory requirements.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to manage sensitive and confidential issues.
